The Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers is one of the divisions of the Nigerian Society of Engineers saddled with the responsibility to cater for the Professional Development of Engineers with bias in water, solid, liquid and gaseous wastes, civil, agriculture, chemical, industrial, petroleum, mechanical, electrical, safety, power Engineering and others for Sustainable Environment. In effect, the Division can indeed be called “Mother of all Divisions” of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. Reason being that every practicing Engineer has an impact on the environment.

Our Activities
TECHNICAL VISIT
The members of the Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers from time to time do visit Industries/Parastatals/Agencies for knowledge sharing and technical know - how which opens up possible relationship on sustainability.
ADVOCACY
One of the major mandates of the Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers Abuja Chapter is to advocate and campaign on Greener environment, Pollution control, Capacity building, Tree planting, Industrial hygiene, Codes and standards, Disaster risk reduction, Health, safety and environment, etc.
CONFERENCE
Constitutionally the Nigerian Institution of Environment, Rivers Chapter do have its AGM/Conference annually to brainstorm on the way forward in promoting sustainable cities and environment.
